CanFASD is launching a new prevention campaign aiming at reducing risk for couples that are having unprotected sex and using alcohol; couples that are trying to get pregnant and using alcohol; and couples that are pregnant and using alcohol. The initiative called Think FASD (#thinkFASD) can be seen at https://www.thinkfasd.ca/.

“FASD is a lifelong disability that affects the brain and body of people exposed to alcohol in the womb. Each person with FASD has both strengths and challenges. They will need special supports to help them succeed with many parts of their daily lives.

The only cause of FASD is exposure to alcohol while in the womb. There is no known safe amount of alcohol to use during pregnancy.

Go alcohol-free and think FASD every step of the way to prevent this disability.”

Facebook and Youtube ads can be seen here : https://www.thinkfasd.ca/media-gallery

CanFASD is also distributing handouts discussing the challenges of pregnancy, alcohol and your Mental Health during COVID-19.
