The Kids Brain Health Network’s Research Training Committee (RTC) is a standing advisory and decision-making body that ensures KBHN’s Training Program serves the needs of network trainees and investigators. It also fulfills the Networks of Centres of Excellence (NCE) goal of building capacity in the next generation of academic and citizen scientist leaders. The primary function of the RTC is to develop and manage training and education activities for the Kids Brain Health Network.
RTC members are recruited for their expertise in the areas of innovation and implementation science, knowledge mobilization, policy, inclusive research, and interdisciplinary studies. The Committee’s backgrounds include basic and clinical academic research and clinical and front-line care, as well as key positions in social and community organizations. This dedicated group develops and selects training events, workshops, internships and practicum placements, and confers trainee awards.
