Biographies of KBHN Outstanding Awardees of the 2023-2024 cohort.
I am a parent of six children who lives in Prince Edward Island. While I have a basic science background, I have primarily been an at home caregiver since 2006.
Samantha Noyek is a CHILD-BRIGHT Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Manitoba in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health. She is currently conducting research focused on the cross-Canada implementation of the BRIGHT Coaching program.
Dr. Phoenix is an Assistant Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University, a CanChild Scientist and an Adjunct Scientist at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
Ann is currently a student at the University of British Columbia (UBC) pursuing a Master of Public Health. Following her own personalized pathway of Inclusion and Diversity in Health Systems, her strong passion for health and well-being guides her through an expansive professional journey.
Dr. Sarah Munce, PhD is a health services and knowledge translation/implementation science researcher. Broadly, her program of research focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating transitional care programs, including self-management and peer support/navigation programs, for individuals with complex neurological conditions.
Connie Putterman has been involved in advocacy and advisory roles for the autism research and neuro-developmental community in Canada since 2000. She has participated in numerous disability and inclusion initiatives, research projects and research advisory committees for numerous health research institutes across Canada in a leadership capacity.
