Sarojini Sengupta
As a Scientist/Entrepreneur, Sarojini aspires to contribute in a meaningful way, to the well-being of those who experience impairing mental health conditions.
Shaped by lived & living experience, she has been immersed in research at the Douglas Mental Health University Institute (Montréal, Québec), working at different stages on ADHD, autism, and psychotic disorders. Her contribution was recognized by several international awards, including the Young Investigator Award from Brain & Behavior Research Foundation (NARSAD grant), Dr. Mortimer D. Sackler Developmental Psychology Investigator Award, and Outstanding Mentor Award from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP).
Sarojini is also co-founder & CEO of the start-up AIMH Inc. (Artificial Intelligence for Mental Health). She is committed to making precision medicine a reality in multi-modal treatment of neurodevelopmental conditions, starting with ADHD.
Sarojini has been actively engaged in Knowledge Translation. She is an author/co-author on six articles in the international media, five letters to the editor, and 49 scientific publications.
She is passionate about grass-roots community outreach.
Impressed by all the the excellent work being conducted by Kids Brain Health Network (KBHN), Sarojini was motivated to join the Programs Advisory Committee. At many levels, KBHN embodies the different angles of mental health that Sarojini cares deeply about.
