Dr. Stephanie Montesanti, Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Health System Integration and Professor, University of Alberta’s School of Public Health

Dr. Stephanie Montesanti is a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Health System Integration and Professor at the University of Alberta’s School of Public Health. She is an internationally recognized health policy and systems scholar who is dedicated to advancing actions that reorient health systems toward health equity and strengthen connections between health systems and communities. Her research applies health systems science, implementation science, and a person-centered lens to the design of integrated healthcare improvement strategies in the areas of Indigenous health, primary care, and women’s health. Dr. Montesanti has established a robust research program through the Collaborative Applied Research for Equity in Health Policy and Systems (CARE) Lab. She leads the Policy and Systems Integration Platform for the Alberta-based Indigenous Primary Health Care and Research (IPHCPR) Network. She is also the Academic Lead for the Learning Health System (LHS) Team at the Alberta Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) SUPPORT Unit. Dr. Montesanti has a strong track record of providing evidence-informed advice to municipal, provincial, and federal governments, health authorities, civil society organizations, and healthcare organizations.
