Angus Livingstone is Managing Director of the University-Industry Liaison Office (UILO) at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is President of the University’s wholly-owned subsidiary, UBC Research Enterprises Inc. Angus graduated from UBC with a B.Sc. in Computer Science in 1983. In 1988, he joined the UILO, where he held various positions relating to industry-sponsored research, technology transfer, and UILO operations management. Angus serves on numerous boards, including the Alliance for Commercialization of Canadian Technologies, UBC Research Enterprises, Inc., Kinexux BioInformatics, Inc., and Webnames.CA, Inc. Angus is co-founder and Chair of the Alliance for the Commercialization of Canadian Technology. He is currently a member of the Association of University Technology Managers and the Licensing Executive Society.
