Patient-oriented research is research that engages patients as partners, focuses on patient-identified priorities, and improves patient and family outcomes. In patient-oriented research, research is conducted “with” or “by” patients and other relevant stakeholders, rather than “for” them. The PORCCH modules are free and can be completed by anyone interested in learning more about patient-oriented research.
