Kids Brain Health Network (KBHN) Training Days

The KBHN Annual Conference brings together prominent Canadian and international researchers with trainees (including undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and research associates) who have a shared interest in neurodevelopmental disabilities research and practice.

Trainees enjoy opportunities to socialize and network with their peers, to present their work, and to hear from and connect with experts from diverse fields and disciplines—as well as children and families with lived experience of neurodevelopmental disabilities, and community leaders.

I am very grateful that I was able to attend and present two posters at the KBHN Conference and DOHaD 2022 World Congress in Vancouver, BC! I presented my Honours thesis research and preliminary results from a study that I have been conducting this summer at Corkum LABS. I learned so much from attending the KBHN trainee workshops and conference presentations!”

~ Alzena Ilie, Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Student (Dalhousie University)

Thanks to the KBHN National Training Program, I had opportunities to participate in national conferences, building vital relationships with mentors and peers, supporting my career development and research endeavors. These learning opportunities have allowed me to take on a leadership role in a KBHN-supported project on family support navigation, which in turn has provided valuable project management experience and community connections.”

~ Jeffrey McCrossin, Ph.D. Candidate (School of Social Work, McGill University)
