Canadian Ambassador to Brazil
Emmanuel Kamarianakis has been appointed as the Canadian Ambassador to Brazil on August 4, 2022. Prior to his appointment, he served as the Director-General in the federal government and works to promote Canada as a premier business destination for foreign investors, as an ideal place to study for international students, and as a partner of choice for international science, technology and innovation collaboration. Emmanuel has lived and worked as a Canadian diplomat in the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Mexico, Greece and Iran. Emmanuel has a Bachelor’s of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and is fluent in English, French, Greek and Italian. He and his wife are the proud parents of two children, one of whom has special needs, and believe in the importance of community engagement and support in addressing neurodevelopmental issues. He is proud to be a board member of the Kids Brain Health Network and contribute to its mandate and objectives.
