Shauna Kingsnorth, PhD
Manager of Evidence to Care, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital
Dr. Shauna Kingsnorth is the inaugural Manager of Evidence to Care, an organizational catalyst for knowledge translation at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital (Toronto, Canada). Since 2011, she has led a team of knowledge translation specialists and brokers and collaborated with health partners to strengthen capacity for all to identify and integrate new and existing knowledge into all kinds of their work in childhood disability. Shauna’s expertise spans the full continuum of knowledge translation practice, including knowledge syntheses, product development, application of theories, models and frameworks, as well as dissemination, implementation and evaluation initiatives.
With more than 15 years of experience in the fields of pediatric rehabilitation research and knowledge translation, Shauna also holds appointments as a Clinical Study Investigator with the Bloorview Research Institute, Co-Lead of the Holland Bloorview Centre for Leadership and Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Sciences Institute with the University of Toronto. Her training includes masters and doctoral degrees in experimental psychology, specializing in child development from the University of Toronto, and certificates of advanced study in program evaluation, change leadership and knowledge translation from leading institutions.
