On October 20, KBHF marked a decade of impact with Harvest of Hope, its 10th Anniversary Gala, part of the KBH+ Conference 2026. The evening brought together supporters, advocates, leaders, and changemakers to celebrate ten years of advancing children’s brain health and to look ahead to the next decade.
Together, guests showed significant generosity and support for the Brighter Futures Fund. The fund supports programs, research and innovations that help children and youth with neurodisabilities and their families get the services they need to live their best lives.
An evening of connection and inspiration
Layne, The Auctionista, hosted the night. With more than 1,700 events behind them, Layne brought energy, quick wit and heart to the room, and kept guests laughing, giving and celebrating all evening.
The gala was filled with connection, inspiring stories, and a shared commitment to brighter futures for Canadian families.
Gala speakers KBHF board chair Dr. Sheila Laredo, Sara Pot, and Greta Heathcote delivered lived-experience speeches that were touching, informative, and moving, reminding everyone in the room why this work matters.

KBH+ Outstanding Awards
KBH+ was also proud to announce the five recipients of the 2025–2026 KBH+ Outstanding Awards, celebrating the people driving meaningful change in neurodisability research, mentorship, and inclusive family engagement.
This year’s recipients reflect what KBH+ stands for: advancing innovative programs, amplifying lived experience, and transforming outcomes for children, youth, and families across Canada. Their work is helping build a future where every child with a neurodisability can thrive.
Thank you to our sponsors
The gala was made possible by the generous support of its sponsors: the Azrieli Foundation, Claret Asset Management, Cloud Pilots, David & Tracey Kuik in Honour of Paige Kuik, Donut Party, and PlaySpace.
Looking ahead
KBHF extends its thanks to everyone who attended, donated, sponsored, and helped bring the evening to life. Their generosity and belief in the mission are shaping the next decade of impact.
