Zainab is currently a MSc student at Dalhousie University with a double major in Neuroscience and mathematics. Prior to Neuroscience, she completed a Bachelor of Mathematics (King Faisal University). She also has a diploma in Computer Science (Kiron University). Her interests lie in child neurodevelopment, with a particular focus in children with epilepsy and ADHD. Specifically, she is interested in understanding how alterations in placental development and function in these pregnancies may affect postnatal growth and neurodevelopmental curves. She is also a certified MRI technologist and was part of SURGE, one of Nova Scotia’s innovation sandboxes. Zainab recently joined The Kids Brain Health Network as a trainee. She considers it a great opportunity to work in a variety of research projects and is hoping to become a scientist and play a part in advancing the study of neurodevelopmental disabilities.
