Amber Makino, Developmental Pediatrician, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital
Dr. Amber Makino has been a staff Developmental Pediatrician at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital in Toronto since 2017, after completing her Pediatric Residency and Developmental Pediatrics Fellowship at the University of Toronto. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto where she is the clinical rotation supervisor in Developmental Pediatrics for pediatric residents and she integrated the quality improvement curriculum into the Developmental Pediatric Postgraduate Residency Program. She has complimented her clinical training with additional training in Quality Improvement and Medical Education at the University of Toronto with the academic interest of improving service delivery in outpatient pediatric rehabilitation services. Currently she is a clinical physician lead of the Baby Constraint Induced Movement Therapy Program at Holland Bloorview and involved in the community of practice supporting the rollout of similar programs across the province of Ontario.
