Anna McCormick, MD, FRCP(C)

Dr. Anna McCormick received her MD from Memorial University in Newfoundland in 1988 followed by a fellowship in pediatrics at The University of Calgary in 1993 and a fellowship in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Ottawa in 1996. She is one of only four physicians in Canada specializing in both pediatrics and physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Presently, she is the medical director of pediatric rehabilitation at The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and a rehabilitation consultant at The Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre and The Rehabilitation Centre at The Ottawa Hospital. Dr. McCormick has been involved in numerous research initiatives including evaluation of the use of Botulinum Toxin A in adults with cerebral palsy, transition of young adults to adult care, development of an evidence based review of acquired brain injury, the Integrated Neuroscience Discovery Network (CP-Net), The Canadian Neuromuscular Data Registry (CNDR) and the use of virtual reality systems to facilitate physical rehabilitation.
