Zainab is currently a MSc student at Dalhousie University with a double major in Neuroscience and mathematics. Prior to Neuroscience, she completed a Bachelor of Mathematics (King Faisal University). She also has a diploma in Computer Science (Kiron University). Her interests lie in child neurodevelopment, with a particular focus in children with epilepsy and ADHD.
With a combined lens of clinical and educational research, Lauren is studying the special interests of children and teens with autism.
Melika currently is a Ph.D. student in the rehabilitation sciences program at University of British Columbia, working with Dr. Jill Zwicker. Her research focuses on brain changes after rehabilitation in children with autism and developmental coordination disorder. Her research focuses on investigating pre-post differences in cortical gray matter volume in children with developmental coordination disorder and co-occurring attention deficit hyperactivity disorder following CO-OP intervention.
Ayesha Siddiqua is a Senior Epidemiologist at the Public Health Agency of Canada and an Assistant Professor (Part-Time) in the Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University.
Kaela started her academic career at the University of Guelph where, through Biomedical Engineering, she specialized in signal processing in conjunction with a foundation in anatomy and pathology. A Master’s degree at the University of Waterloo continued her education and launched her into research.
Carly’s research focuses on evidence-based interventions for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities and those that support these individuals (i.e., caregivers and clinicians).
Celia is currently a fourth year medical student at the University of British Columbia. Prior to medical school, she completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at McMaster University with a specialization in Child Health.
Her doctoral worked examined hand re-organization following childhood stroke using multi-modal brain imaging techniques. As a post-doctoral fellow, she shifted from studying mechanisms of recovery to mechanisms of injury to the brain in a juvenile rat model of stroke.
