Celia is currently a fourth year medical student at the University of British Columbia. Prior to medical school, she completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree at McMaster University with a specialization in Child Health. Through this specialization, she discovered her interest in child development, with a particular focus in children with autism and ADHD. During medical school, she continued to pursue this interest by joining Dr. Jean Paul Collet’s research team and helping to conduct a review of the literature on the impact of social isolation and loneliness in children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. After medical school, Celia is hoping to become a clinician scientist and continue to advocate for the wellbeing of children and youth!
