Dr. Anne Carla Ferguson-Smith, FRS FMedSci
Anne is Professor and Chair of the Department of Genetics at the University of Cambridge. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS). Her research concerns the molecular events governing pre- and postnatal mammalian development. It is focussed in two areas in particular: the developmental role of imprinted genes and the epigenetic mechanisms controlling their parent-origin specific expression and the epigenetic control of genome function during development in a broader context.
