Dr. Elaine Holmes, PhD
Elaine is Director of the Centre for Computational and Systems Medicine at the Australian National Phenome Centre, the Premier’s Fellow for Phenomics, and an Australian Laureate Fellow. Previously she was at Imperial College, London, where she was the most highly cited woman faculty member. Her research involves unravelling the molecular fingerprints that represent the metabolic state of an individual and reflect the impact of gene-environment interactions that are associated with health and disease risk. Her particular interests include heart and liver disease and the metabolic syndrome, and the interaction between maternal genes with the maternal microbiome during development.
