Dr. John Andersen is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of the Division of Developmental Pediatrics at the University of Alberta and serves as Co-site chief, Child Health, at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. As a Neurodevelopmental Pediatrician his clinical and research focus is on the effects of brain injury occurring early in life and improving the abilities of children with perinatal stroke and cerebral palsy. Dr. Andersen’s multi-disciplinary research within the Alberta Perinatal Stroke Project, Kids Brain Health and CHILD-BRIGHT networks focuses on innovation in intervention for children with cerebral palsy and perinatal stroke.
