Dr. Corkum is a Professor in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at Dalhousie University. She is cross-appointed in Psychiatry as well as being on Scientific Staff at IWK Health Centre and Capital District Health Authority. In addition to her academic appointments, she is a Registered Psychologist and Director of the Colchester East Hants ADHD Clinic. She conducts clinical research in the areas of neurodevelopmental disorders (particularly ADHD) and pediatric sleep. Her current research is funded by KBHN, CIHR, NSHRF, Dalhousie, and the IWK. One of her research areas is aimed at developing, evaluating and dissemination eHealth interventions for pediatric sleep problems, with the primary goal to reduce the negative impact of sleep problems on the child (e.g., attention, learning, behaviour, social-emotional) and their family. She is the principal investigator for the Better Nights, Better Days pan-Canadian team.
