Zachary Boychuck, Postdoctoral Fellow, CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research, Department of Pediatrics, McMaster University
Dr. Boychuck is an Occupational Therapist, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at CanChild & the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University. His doctoral research at McGill University focused on enhancing early-identification of children with CP, and used mixed-methods and an integrated knowledge translation (iKT) approach to create educational tools for primary-care practitioners and parents to increase awareness of the early-motor signs of CP that should prompt referral for diagnostic assessment, as well as simultaneous referral for rehabilitation services, for children suspected of having CP. He recently completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Person-Centered Health Informatics Research Lab at McGill University, where his research focused on the development, implementation, and evaluation of digital health technologies. Specifically, he focused on synthesizing the evidence for telerehabilitation and created educational resources for clinicians and patients to better enable their use of telerehabilitation services. In his current postdoctoral role at CanChild, he is leading a mixed-methods study evaluating the experience and process of engagement of participants in an international iKT project (ENVISAGE-SP).
