24 Hours of International Listening and Sharing Sessions
For World CP Day, October 5-6, 2020, the International Alliance of Academies of Childhood Disability (IAACD) has developed a marathon 24 hours of International Listening and Sharing Sessions. These sessions are a way to connect and promote open communication across a group, to share experiences and provide useful information for taking action. The 24-hour marathon consists of live one-hour talks from people globally within active academies. It is aimed specifically at health care workers/researchers, yet all are welcome.
The IAACD Global COVID-19 Childhood Disability Listening and Sharing committee (see members here) have put together tips on how to organize and conduct “Listen and Sharing Sessions”–both for professionals and for families who are interested in hosting their own sessions virtually.
The marathon is a space for health workers to share their experiences, challenges and innovations when providing services to children with disabilities during COVID-19. Join for the hour of your choice starting at 10 pm EST on October 5 2020, with a new session every hour around the globe.
