Jessica Hanson

Jessica is a second year M.Sc. student at McGill University, studying rehabilitation science. During her undergraduate B.Sc. degree, she served as an event director of motionball McGill for Special Olympics, and actively contributed to research initiatives for individuals with disabilities. She pursued a master’s degree to expand her knowledge in the field of pediatric neurodevelopmental disabilities, and contribute to innovation and advocacy for this community.
In recent years, she has worked on numerous projects, including an environmental scan study to investigate gaps and identify facilitators in mental health supports for children with disabilities. As an outcome of the study, Jessica participated in developing a knowledge translation toolkit to support early interventions for children with cerebral palsy. She continues advocating for initiatives that address critical challenges faced by children with disabilities in Canada. With her dedication, knowledge, and enthusiasm, Jessica is determined to help create change and positive impacts for this community.
