Karys Peterson-Katz, Doctoral Student, Queen’s University
Karys is a Ph.D student in Neuroscience at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. Her project focuses on evaluating measurements of the developmental status of pre-school children obtained from community-based agencies and child welfare agencies, as well as evaluating knowledge transfer and practice application following training in infant and early mental health. The ultimate goal is to provide insight on community health, program policy and training efficacy that can address the current lack of systematic assessment of developmental vulnerabilities in the pre-school population.
