Kim van der Hoek, Chief Operating Officer

Kim van der Hoek is the Chief Operating Officer and joined KBHN in 2021.  Prior to joining KBHN she was the inaugural Centre Manager for the Canadian Centre for Applied Research in Cancer Control a Canadian Cancer Society funded national research program focusing in the area of health economics, health policy, health service and ethics.  She helped build this world leading research program based out of BC Cancer. Kim likes to bring out the best in an organization by finding ways to be operationally more efficient.  Knowing people are the key to success, her focus is to identify strengths in all individuals and to build a great team around those strengths.  Kim received her undergraduate and Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the Simon Fraser (SFU) and was SFUs Female Athlete of the Year multiple years running competing as a heptathlete and represented Canada internationally.  She is passionate about children living their best lives and shows this through her experience as a youth soccer coach as well as the past President of the Montessori in Delta Society.
