Melika currently is a Ph.D. student in the rehabilitation sciences program at University of British Columbia, working with Dr. Jill Zwicker. Her research focuses on brain changes after rehabilitation in children with autism and developmental coordination disorder. Melika is actively involved with trainee activities within Kids Brain Health Network (KBHN).
Previously, completed her bachelor and master in occupational therapy at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. She has been an occupational therapist for 10 years in Iran. She worked with children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, LD, ASD, and DCD.
She also worked as a clinical instructor at the OT Department, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. She has been teaching practical OT approaches to undergrad OT students. Furthermore, She supervised undergraduate projects to review neurorehabilitation approaches for children with various neurodevelopmental disorders.
