Myrah Anum Malik, Student Occupational Therapist, University of Alberta
Myrah received her Bachelor of Science, Major in Kinesiology in 2019 from Simon Fraser University. She is currently a MSc candidate at the University of British Columbia under the supervision of Dr. Jill Zwicker. Her research focuses on investigating pre-post differences in cortical gray matter volume in children with developmental coordination disorder and co-occurring attention deficit hyperactivity disorder following CO-OP intervention. She has a passion for working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families/caregivers in advocating and creating inclusive recreational sports and activities in British Columbia. Myrah is actively involved with trainee activities within Kids Brain Health Network (KBHN), BC Children’s trainee council and the Rehabilitation Science Student Executive Committee at the University of British Columbia.
