Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee protection under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial laws
Position Details:
- Duration: 8 weeks, 35 hours per week
- Compensation: $22/hour
- Location: Remote (with possible occasional travel)
- Open to youth across Canada

Fund Development Administrative Assistant
The Fund Development Administrative Assistant will report to the Chief Fund Development Officer (CFDO) and play a key role in supporting the fundraising and outreach efforts of Kids Brain Health Foundation (KBHF). The Assistant will work with the CFDO and Communications staff on developing and executing a social media strategy and content plan to support the launch and growth of the Brighter Futures Fund digital campaign. In addition, the role will provide support for the early planning of KBH’s upcoming national conference and contribute to research and data gathering efforts to assist with grant applications and major gift solicitations. The ideal candidate should have experience in content creation, online research, and social media platforms and possess strong writing and organizational skills. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in digital fundraising, donor development, event planning, and prospect research within a dynamic national health charity.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Social Media: Develop and execute a social media content plan to drive donor engagement for the Brighter Futures Fund.
- Event Planning: Support initial planning and coordination tasks for KBH’s national conference.
- Fundraising: Conduct online research and compile data to support grant writing and major gift proposals.
- Database Management: Assist with data entry, prospect profiles, and campaign tracking as needed.
Communications Specialist
The Communications Specialist will play a key role in managing digital assets, creating content for web and social media, assisting with website updates and graphic design, and helping implement strategic communication plans. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Specialist will conduct research to support content development, maintain organized digital records, and support Kids Brain Health (KBH) communication activities. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment focused on improving outcomes for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop compelling written and visual content for KBH’s website, social media, and newsletters that reflects our mission and connects with key audiences.
- Strategic Communications: Support the execution of communication plans that promote KBH initiatives, research, and events across multiple platforms.
- Research & Planning: Conduct research on neurodevelopmental topics to inform content strategy and help shape the communications calendar.
Project Administration Officer
The Project Administration Officer will report to the Director of Implementation and Programs and play a key role on the operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience or academic background in the sciences or applied sciences, along with the ability to work independently under remote supervision. Responsibilities include liaising with external groups to collect and input data into a central database, organizing virtual meetings, supporting speaker research, and assisting with webinar setup. The Project Administration Officer will contribute to a variety of initiatives and provide essential administrative and operational support across the organization.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Strategic Operations: Read project reports and assist with data synthesis, entry and formatting. Follow up with project teams when necessary.
- Event Planning: Assist with setting up online meetings and webinars for the Implementation Community of Practice.
- Data Management: Collect material and ensure that the KBHN database is up to date.
- General operational work: Assist the Director of Implementation and Programs with day-to-day tasks as needed.
Research Support Officer - Business Development
The Research Support Officer – Business Development Program will report to the Chief Operating Officer and support the development and coordination of business planning activities across KBHN projects. This role involves conducting research, gathering and analyzing data, and contributing to the creation of business plans and market assessments. The officer will also collaborate with KBHN contractors and project teams to support business sustainability through high-quality written and presentation materials. We are seeking a motivated individual currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Commercialization Strategy: Collaborate with leadership and project teams to develop actionable strategies that bring KBHN innovations to market and maximize impact.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct research and analyze data on trends, competitors, and opportunities to inform strategic decisions and new venture planning.
- Business Development Support: Contribute to business plans, funding models, and stakeholder materials that advance KBHN’s mission and drive growth.
