Peter A. Allen is the President of Mercator Investments Limited, a Venture Capital company. Formerly, he was the Founder and CEO of Lac Minerals, which became a global mining company. He began his career with Imperial Oil Ltd., Transportation Dept. He chaired the embryonic Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR) and founded its Cosmology/Astrophysics Program. He was Chairman of Transair Ltd., a Director of BCE Inc., Montreal Trust; Northern & Central Gas; Mercantile & General Reinsurance Co. Ltd. Peter is a Director on the Board of Coril Holdings Ltd., Harbourfront Centre and is a Member of the Council of Advisors, Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR).
