Canada does not currently have a research framework to oversee and manage how autism research is conducted. The Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorder Alliance (CASDA) recently launched an initiative to understand how to shape and improve the autism research landscape in Canada.

We will discuss how best to transform autism research, drawing on insights from our survey responses. We will spend one-hour:

  • reviewing key findings from the survey results
  • identifying barriers related to themes identified in the survey
  • brainstorming recommendations for a policy brief

Hosted by CASDA, this project forms part of the many initiatives aimed at helping advocate for a National Autism Strategy.
