Research Associate, McGill University
Samantha is a master’s student in the M.A./Ph.D. School/Applied Child Psychology Program at McGill University. Her undergraduate research included functional neural networks associated with verbal and fluid intelligence under the supervisor of Dr. Woodward. Outside of research, she worked as a behavioral interventionist with children with ASD, through which she experienced the uniqueness and strengths of many children with ASD despite some challenges in certain areas. Therefore, working under the supervision of Dr. Eve-Marie Quintin, she aims at investigating the musical strength of children with ASD. Specifically, music as a strength that could lend ways to effective interventions to ameliorate other challenges. Her career goal is to improve clinical and educational methods as a researcher-clinician.
