Sandy was a Psychologist at Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital for 15 years working with children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and their families. She was then Manager of the Psychology department and then Director of Pediatrics at the Glenrose, with active involvement in many regional, and intersectoral initiatives for the next 15 years. She also lead the CNCYR initiative that developed a national minimum data set for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. For the past 5 years she has worked as a consultant focusing on program development and evaluation. Most notably she was project lead in developing an adult autism service in the Edmonton zone.
