Kids Brain Health Annual Conference 2019

Building Partnerships that Impact Communities

See 2019 Kids Brain Health Annual Conference Coverage

Dates: December 10-11, 2019

Location: Westin Hotel and Conference Centre, Ottawa, ON

The 2019 Kids Brain Health Conference will be held in conjunction with the Children’s Healthcare Canada (CHC) Annual Conference. Our network communities share a common vision and strive to meet the challenges of children and families with complex medical and psychosocial needs. Subsequently, this year’s conference provides us with an exciting opportunity to build new connections with members of CHC; a long-time partner of KBHN. In combining our conferences, KBHN members will have the opportunity to share and connect with a wider complement of stakeholder attendees.

While KBHN-focused events will take place on December 10-11, we encourage our members to attend the full conference from December 8-11 to learn more about the CHC community and build personal networks. As such we are developing a cost-effective way of registering for both parts of this combined conference (more info coming soon).

The 2019 KBHN Annual Conference has adopted the theme of “Building Partnerships that Impact Communities”. The goal of the conference is to celebrate the past 10 years of KBHN successes and to create a venue for listening to the perspectives of stakeholders across the full spectrum of the Network’s programs, from research discoveries to policy dialogue. The conference will provide a venue for stakeholders, including parents and partner organizations, to identify and discuss strategies to meet the challenges facing children and families within communities and across the Nation. A combination of plenary talks, an interactive panel and round table discussions, and trainee presentations (both oral and poster), will showcase the breadth and depth of the Network’s research programs and knowledge mobilization activities.
