Watch: Info session on the Indigenous Stream

On October 27, 2025, we hosted an Information Session on the Indigenous Stream, a new funding initiative launched in partnership with Brain Canada. This session brought together researchers, community leaders, and Indigenous partners from across Canada.

The Indigenous Stream is designed to support Indigenous-led and community-driven projects that improve outcomes for Indigenous children and youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities.

Participants learned about the two grant opportunities — Connection Grant and Community Impact Grant — and how they advance Indigenous self-determination, knowledge sharing, and culturally grounded approaches to research.

KBHN will present its KBH+ model at OCALICONLINE 2025, the premier autism and disabilities conference, on Thursday, November 20, from 1:45–2:45 p.m. ET. The session will highlight a unique three-part funding ecosystem that unites government funding (KBHN), philanthropy (Kids Brain Health Foundation), and impact investing (Kids Brain Health Innovation Fund).

This integrated model accelerates the spread, scale, and implementation of evidence-based solutions for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Presenters will explore key themes such as systems change, barriers to innovation, and aligning funding with real-world implementation.
