KBHN National Training Program aims to enhance the training of the next generation of researchers and professionals to undertake interdisciplinary and inclusive research to generate and/or apply new knowledge.
To support, promote, and acknowledge those who have shown excellence and dedication within the network, three awards are available for those with outstanding achievements: the Outstanding KBHN Trainee Member Award, the Outstanding KBHN Promising Researcher Award, and the Outstanding KBHN Mentor/Supervisor Award.
Outstanding KBHN Trainee Member Award
This award recognizes a trainee’s outstanding contribution and commitment to the KBHN network. The recipient dedicates large amounts of time and energy to the KBHN’s network activities, including, but not limited to, conferences, webinars, and workshops. The individual has shown enthusiasm through high levels of engagement and involvement. The nominee must be a KBHN trainee in the year 2020-2021. All levels of trainees may be nominated, including undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows.

Outstanding KBHN Promising Researcher Award
This award recognizes a trainee’s outstanding research achievements. Submissions can be for either bench or bedside research. The nominee must be a KBHN trainee involved in research. All levels of trainees may be nominated, including Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students, and Postdoctoral Fellows.

Outstanding KBHN Mentor/Supervisor Award
This award is presented to a researcher or a professional who provided outstanding supervision or mentorship with the ability to inspire KBHN trainees. This person coaches and encourages others to succeed in fulfilling the KBHN’s mission to conduct research in an inclusive and dynamic learning environment and translates that knowledge into practice. Any mentor or supervisor contributing to the KBHN training program. Researchers and professionals from all disciplines are eligible.
