General questions
What event format will the conference takes place in?
The conference will be available in a Hybrid format. Using the right production technology and Event Platform & App, all conference attendees will experience a fusion of both live in-person event and virtual online components.
What time zone will the conference be hosted?
The schedule for both the in-person and virtual experience will follow Ottawa’s time zone, which is Eastern Standard Time (EST), GMT-4.
Will all in-person sessions be available to virtual attendees?
Only select sessions and activities that can be successfully experienced online will be available for virtual attendees – specifically, sessions scheduled in the main ballroom and virtual posters can also be accessed by online participants via the event platform.
Can my colleagues use the same link for hybrid events?
Each virtual attendee will be provided their own dedicated link to the Event Platform. To access the conference program contents, a registered virtual attendee will need to login using their email address.
Where is the conference going to be held?
The conference will be held at the Fairmont Château Laurier, located at 1 Rideau St, Ottawa. The main conference programming will be in the main Ballroom, lobby level of the hotel. You can take a virtual tour of the venue here or download the Event Platform and App to access session maps.
Is there preferred accommodation I can book?
Yes. KBHN has arranged a limited number of room nights at the Fairmont Château Laurier for the entire duration of the conference.
What parking arrangements are available at the venue?
Valet parking is available for registered hotel guests only (in/out privileges). Onsite parking will be limited to Registered Hotel Guests through the Valet Parking Service only at the rate of $53.00 per day, plus tax. For local meeting/event attendees, restaurant patrons, and registered guests who wish to self-park, alternate parking is available within a short distance of the hotel. View map and directions here.
Registration
Are early bird discounts available?
Yes, early bird discounts are available until August 31, 2023, after which time regular conference registration rates will take effect.
Do you offer single-day registration?
Unfortunately, single-day registration is not available for this event.
Will there be a separate registration fee for in-person versus virtual attendees?
Yes, there is. You can find detailed information about registration fees under the “Registration” tab of our event website.
Can I register and buy tickets onsite?
We cannot process registration and issue a ticket onsite. We encourage all attendees to register online via the conference website.
What is the next step after I registered and paid for the event?
After successful registration, you will receive an invite to access our event platform, EventMobi. If you are attending in person, it is best to also download the event app on your phone to get the full experience of hybrid event and engagement activities planned for the event.
How secure are my credit card details?
Our registration payment gateway is a certified PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
Do I need a PayPal account to purchase a ticket?
No, you do not. You will also have the option to pay using a credit card or a Visa Debit card.
