Kids Brain Health Foundation (KBHF) is thrilled to welcome eight new board members whose combined expertise, leadership, and passion will play a vital role in shaping the foundation’s next chapter.

United by a shared commitment to improving outcomes for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities (NDDs) and their families, these exceptional leaders bring a wide range of experience across healthcare, finance, fundraising, community advocacy, non-profit governance, and lived experience related to NDDs. Together, they will support KBHF’s mission to transform scientific breakthroughs into real-world solutions for children with NDDs and their families.

“We are honoured to welcome these leaders to the KBHF Board,” said Sheila Laredo, KBHF Board Chair. “Each brings a unique perspective and deep commitment to improving outcomes for children and their families. Together, their leadership will help guide the Foundation into its next phase of growth and deliver impact.”

We are pleased to introduce KBHF’s newest board members

These new appointments follow a national search launched last summer by KBHF in partnership with Morgan Campbell Executive Search. The process was designed to strengthen the Board’s strategic capacity and ensure KBHF is well positioned for its next phase of growth—supporting expanded reach, strong governance, and the delivery of transformative, evidence-based programs for children with NDDs and their families.

KBHF’s Chief Fund Development Officer, Shannon Gill, emphasized the importance of this moment for the Foundation. “Our newest board members represent a transformative chapter in KBHF’s evolution. Their leadership and expertise will be invaluable as we strengthen governance, expand our impact, and drive innovative solutions for children with NDDs and their families.”

With new expertise and vision around the board table, KBHF is well positioned to deepen its leadership in pediatric neurodevelopmental research and innovation—ensuring more evidence-based solutions reach the children and families who need them most.
