Engineering new possibilities for kids and youth with neurodisabilities

How can engineering create new possibilities for kids and youth with neurodisabilities?

One in 10 children and youth in Canada are  living with a neurodisability — and many of their families face years-long  waitlists, limited services, and costs of up to $80,000 a year.

A recent article from Let’s Talk  Science highlights how Kids Brain Health (KBH+) is changing that by turning research into real-world support: early identification, effective interventions, and family support.

KBH+ welcomes Loran scholars joining the Disability Policy Research Program (DiPo)

Meet Kubra Ashori and Corben Mikol — two Loran Scholars joining KBH+ this summer through a partnership between KBHN, DiPo, and the Kids Brain Health Foundation. Loran Scholars are selected for their character, service, and leadership. We are proud to welcome two of them into our community as they work to improve systems and outcomes for kids and youth.

European Academy of Childhood-onset Disability Annual Congress (EACD)

KBH+ is attending EACD 2026 in Galway, where global leaders in childhood disability research, care, and advocacy will gather to share ideas, build connections, and advance inclusion for children and families. This year, the KBHN-funded F-words project serves as the framework for the congress. Learn more.
