The 2nd Annual FASD Day
February 24, 2020, marked the 2nd annual FASD Advocacy Day.
Twelve families travelled to Ontario to share their stories on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and advocate for legislative changes that would allow for more meaningful public consultation and the development of a provincial strategy. KBHN Cheif Scientific Officer, Dr. James Reynolds, was also present to partake in a panel discussion on FASD, mental health and justice involvement.
KBHN enlisted Aidan Moore as the official photographer to capture both the interactions between families and their discussions with various government representatives. Aidan is a 15-year-old who lives in Lanark County, Ontario, who started taking photographs at a very young age. He first started out taking photos of plants and birds and has now made his way up to people, events, and whatever he sees as a good photo. Check out some of Aidan’s work below.
